How to make an AI video from a photo with music
Three ways AI video gets its sound, why a silent render looks off on a song, and how to add music so the moves land on the beat.

Use a tool that takes the song as an input, not one that only adds it afterwards. Photo-to-video AI gets its sound in one of three ways: it generates sound along with the picture, it takes your track and moves the body and mouth to it, or it returns a silent clip you put music on later. For a song trend the second way looks right, because the lips and moves follow the beat. On this site the Burning Bridges sound goes in with your photo and comes out on the finished 15-second clip, with a silent copy as well.

Three ways the sound gets in
| How | What you hear | Lips and moves | Good for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sound generated with the video | New sound the model invents: voices, room noise, sometimes music | Match that new sound, not your song | Scenes, jokes, atmosphere |
| Your song as an input | Your track | Follow the song | Music trends, lip sync, dance |
| A silent clip, music added later | Whatever you add in the editor | Do not follow the song; only your cuts can | Slideshows, moves without singing |
What happened when our clips had no song
For a while in mid-October 2026 our template sent the video model the moves only, with no sound. The clips moved correctly, but the mouth did not follow the words, and we noticed it on the first review. On 16 October we started sending the song along with the moves.
In a 10-second paid test that day, the sound the model produced was within about 0.05 seconds of the original track. We still lay the original sound back on top after rendering, so what you hear in the finished clip is the real recording, not the model's copy.
How to add music to a silent AI clip
- 1
Open the clip in your editor, such as CapCut or the app you post to.
- 2
Find the song's first strong beat and line it up with the first big move.
- 3
Cut on beats, not between them. For Burning Bridges, see the BPM and beat grid.
- 4
Keep the music under any voice, then export.
- 5
On TikTok or Reels, attach the song from the app's library instead of baking it in, so the post is not muted.
Which file to post
Every clip here comes as two files: one with the original sound and one silent. On TikTok and Reels, post the silent one and pick the song from the app's library; keep the version with sound for group chats and Shorts. The full walk-through: why Burning Bridges clips get muted.
Free and paid options
- Free photo-to-video tiers often export silent clips or add a watermark.
- Music video generators that take your own track usually charge by length.
- Here: one free 2-second preview per Google account, which plays with sound on the site; a full clip with sound is 10 credits at 480p ($9.99) or 22 at 720p.

Questions guests ask
Can AI videos have sound?
Yes. Some models generate sound with the picture, some take your song as an input, and some export silent clips.
Can AI add audio to a video?
Yes. Sound effect and music tools can score a silent clip, but the lips and moves will not follow a song added afterwards.
Can I use any song?
For your own viewing, yes. To post, attach the song from the app's library so it stays licensed.
Does the Burning Bridges clip come with the song?
Yes, with the original sound of the scene, plus a silent copy.
