All answersDrakeAIVideo📌 Short answer
The Burning Bridges dance is not choreography. It is Drake's loose party performance from about 2:37 to 2:57 of the music video: walk up to the lens, an open hand to the camera, finger guns pointing down, a tug at the collar, a turn and an arm sweep across the guests, two fingers into the lens, then the cup raised and a wave. Film it vertical at arm's length with a cup in your hand, and keep it relaxed.

The moves in order
Times are positions in the official video (3:52 long). They are approximate: the camera is handheld and the moves are loose.
| Video time | Move | Tip |
|---|---|---|
| 2:37 | Walk up to the camera, cup in hand | Start a step back so you can lean in |
| 2:42 | Open hand toward the lens, cup at your shoulder | Palm almost touching the lens |
| 2:44 | Finger guns pointing down at your chest, twice | Small and quick, on the beat |
| 2:46 | Head back, eyes closed, hand on your collar | Hold it for a beat; this is the cool part |
| 2:48 | Turn to the guests on your right | Turn the shoulders, not just the head |
| 2:49 | Arm sweeps across the table, pointing | Point at real people if you have them |
| 2:53 | Two fingers pushed right into the lens | Close enough to blur |
| 2:54 | Cup raised high, open-palm wave to the camera | Keep waving until the clip ends |
How to film it
- 1
Vertical, chest up. A friend holding the phone at arm's length looks most like the video; a phone on a shelf at eye level works too.
- 2
Hold a metal cup or any tumbler. It gives your hands something to do between moves.
- 3
Practise with the video at 0.5x speed in YouTube's settings, then at normal speed.
- 4
Do three takes and keep the loosest one. Stiff and exact looks less like the original than relaxed and late.
- 5
Post with the "Burning Bridges" sound from the app's library, so it is not muted.
Mistakes that make it look off
- Dancing it full out. The original is a man at a dinner party, not a routine.
- Filming from far away. Most of the moves are aimed at the lens, so the camera must be close.
- Forgetting the guests. The sweep and the laugh only work if someone is next to you, or you act as if they are.
- Lip syncing the wrong part. The famous line people mouth is "where she at?"; what it means.
No camera or no friends around?
Skip the filming: upload one photo and get 15 seconds of the same moves in a chandelier room with you in the lead, sound included. Try a free 2-second preview first; the full clip is 10 credits at 480p. The steps are in how to do the Burning Bridges trend.

Questions guests ask
Is there an official Burning Bridges dance?
No. Drake did not release a routine; the "dance" is his performance in the party scene, copied move for move. Some dance studios have posted their own choreography to the song.
What part of the song is the dance on?
The party section of the music video, from about 2:37 to 2:57. Most trend clips start there.
What do I hold in my hand?
Any metal cup or tumbler. In the video it is a brushed silver cup.
How long should my clip be?
Fifteen to twenty seconds covers the moves. Longer clips drift away from the part people recognise.
